Biography
Nicolas Licata holds a PhD in Languages, Literature and Translation Studies from the University of Liège, where he has been a Lecturer since 2023. Over the course of his academic career, he has been a visiting researcher at the University of Buenos Aires, the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), El Colegio de México, and the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where he also worked as a postdoctoral researcher between 2021 and 2023.
His research focuses on twentieth- and twenty-first-century Latin American literature. He is particularly interested in life writing and non-mimetic literature, and in the many ways these fields intersect. He is the author of César Aira, autofabulador (Brill 2025) and Poética de la autoficción. Tras la máscara mexicana (Iberoamericana/Vervuert, forthcoming).
